Not All Torino Tuscan Homes Are Alike

The Torino homes can be classed in three different groups. The name for each group is a word and a Roman numeral. Torino I, Torino II and Torino III homes all have both a rotunda and a courtyard. All three are built according to the Tuscan style.

Some Tuscan Homes Have a Balcony

Two of the home styles that typify the homes of Tuscany, Italy are the Livorno and the Bocaccio. Those homes differ from the Torino in that they do not have a rotunda. They do, though have a second feature, one that the Torino homes lack. Both the Livorno and the Bocaccio have balconies in addition to a courtyard.

Nor All Umbria Homes Are Alike

Tuscan homes that are said to be of the Umbria I or the Umbria II style have only one of the features that is typical of a Tuscan home. The Umbria homes do not have either a balcony or a rotunda. They do, however, have a courtyard. In that way they resemble the homes of the Middle East.

One Type of Home Is Basic Tuscan

One would need to describe a Capri II home as one that is "basic Tuscan." Its style mimics the style of the homes in Tuscany, Italy. It does not though have any of the features usually found on a Tuscan home. It does not have a courtyard, a balcony or a rotunda. It does offer the same spaciousness that one finds in all Tuscan homes.
