Right along Hennepin Avenue, which the city revitilized as the Hennepin Theatre District. The Hennepin Theatre District consists of the State, Orpheum and Pantage Performing Arts Centers.
In fact, Minneapolis is home to America's third-largest theater market. Tony Award winning musicals, and world-famous companies like, the Children's Theatre Company and Theater de la Jeune Lune, both of which are supported by the city of Minneapolis, are regular evening arrangements for local residents.
The Minnesota Fringe Festival, the largest of it's kind in the country, is hosted in Minneapolis' rich theater community. Last year, the event allowed over one thousand artists to produce nearly one thousand theatrical event over the eleven day period. The festival is doted on internationally as a little shop of artistic genius and it brings lots of revenue it the Minneapolis community.
Other staples in the Minneapolis arts/theater community include the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, the city's largest museum, as well as the Spoonbridge and Cherry Sculpture Garden.

A luxurious area with upscale dwellings and rents to match, the Warehouse District is an area of Downtown Minneapolis that hosted a large artsy community in the 1980's. Minneapolis is a biking city. More than 10,000 a day climb on the seat of their Huffy bicycles and go whizzing around the Grand Rounds, or one of the many other local biking trails.
