Housing Trend #1: Lofts

Lofts are very popular homes in Minnesota. These types of homes are especially popular in the city areas, due to their convenience. They are great homes if you are looking for something that puts you within walking distances of shopping plazas and restaurants. They are also great if you want something small and affordable, but really feels huge and spacious. With their lovely features, such as high cathedral ceilings, cement columns and exposed ductwork, lofts are a great home choice.

Housing Trend # 2: Condos

Condos are also popular in Minnesota due to their convenient locations to or within cities. They are great for people who love living in apartments but also want to have the financial benefits of owning their own home. They are probably the most popular among senior citizens. The reasoning for this is because they do not require any yard work, as the yards are shared by the whole condo complex. They do not require as much housekeeping work as a house would, since they are smaller. Although condos are so very popular among seniors, they are also loved by others including couples, singles and small families.

Housing Trend # 3: Townhouses

These homes are great for people who want to live in Minnesota, but aren’t interested in living in a condo or loft. If you want to live in a house, a townhouse may be for you. They are great if you want something that is still within a convenient location, but normally has a bigger yard than a condo or apartment. They are great for people who have larger families, and for people who want their children to be able to play in their own backyard, rather than in a shared complex yard.
