Although using a realtor to sell a home in Minnesota is not required, there are certain benefits. Rather, buyers can contact the owner directly, and candidly negotiate a sale price. However, before a homeowner can receive any offers, certain steps must be taken. For starters, the property must receive adequate promotion. In addition to a yard sign, sellers ought to consider placing ads in real estate classifieds. If possible, include a photograph of the property. Secondly, the home should be in move-in condition. Making necessary repairs and improvements will attract bids. Lastly, sellers should avoid overpricing the home. Research current home sells, and set a fair asking price.
